3Wire RS2M2 is a 2-channel isolated RS-485 hub that allows two RS-485 master devices to communicate with one or more slave devices safely and reliably.
It ensures that slave responses are sent only to the corresponding master that initiated the request, helping avoid communication conflict and cross-interference in shared RS-485 networks.
Introduction
RS2M2 enables two RS-485 master devices to communicate with one or more slave devices without cross-interference. It is useful where two systems need access to the same RS-485 slave network while maintaining proper communication routing.
The hub features photoelectric isolation for strong signal integrity, together with 15kV ESD protection and 5kA lightning surge protection to safeguard communication interfaces against electrical disturbances.
Each of the three communication ports includes an LED indicator for real-time monitoring. The hub supports transparent data transmission, and the communication format and baud rate can be adjusted through software.
